As many of us know, ptarmigans are some of the most majestic creatures on Earth. Their plumage changes from being speckled with brown to being pure white. Magnificent if I do say so myself. Though I've had little experience face to face with these wonderful game birds, I suppose I could inform you about why I think ptarmigans are such amazing animals and also talk about their superiority over others.
When I first found out about ptarmigans, it was due to a Google Doodle. That day the Google Doodle had been one of a komodo dragon. My friend clicked it and it brought her to a website, which happened to list a few of the animals the komodo dragon ate. I clicked on a picture of a bird and somehow I found out about ptarmigans! Such an incredible experience.
Anyway, let's jump into why I personally think ptarmigans are so rad.
First of all, they make amazing life choices. They live in Canada and in colder regions of North America. Even though some ptarmigans are unfortunate enough to live in this country that is absolutely screwed, they have tried their best to get far away from our President and as close to Canada as they can.
I also believe the feather molting of ptarmigans is quite remarkable. In the winter, their feathers turn bright white so they blend in with the snow. A rather smart decision that they can't really make themselves. They're also camoflaged in the spring, summer, and fall, but I won't get into great detail.
That's all for today :)
